The universe is a cold, harsh place. ItÆs difficult to survive; even more challenging to succeed and profit. Any advantage a pilot can gain keeps them one step ahead of the competition.
Introducing Capsuleer, the definitive iPhone/iTouch Characater Management Tool for EVE Online.
Capsuleer offers a beautifully designed, intuitive interface to quickly display all your relevant character data to you. Featuring artwork and icons from EVE Online, users will find themselves quickly familiar with the application, and immersed in its stunning appeal.
SCREENSHOT
What good is beauty without brains? Capsuleer features an innovative Import Control System that allows you to effortlessly bring all your accounts and characters data into the application with one easy step!
If you want to be more successful in EVE Online, Capsuleer is the application for you.
KEY FEATURES:
- No manual api key entry. Addition of accounts/pilots is handled via our Import Control System - Import Control System doesn't use "scraping" or any other security violating methods to get your character data from the EVE api. - Smart Character application Management. If you enter 1 character into the app, the next time you add characters, it will only display your remaining two. If you enter 2 characters initially, the next time you add characters, it will automatically add the third. - Easy to use, intuitive iPhone/iTouch interface. - Per second real-time countdown timer with skill completion date and time in long format. (Thursday, September 11, 2008 @ 8:34 AM) - Colour coded timer as visual warning for skill completion. (yellow = 25% time remaining, red= 10% time remaining) - Displays Current Skillpoints and current ISK total. - Displays EVE Online avatar. - Previous state memory will load the last character you were viewing. - Displays skill description of current skill training. - Background images specific to each characterÆs race. Originally by: Krystal Demishy Great job, it works like a charm. But did you consider to upgrade it in future, to include a skill database?
There is another app on the store that show your skilltree and all the skills available with a description.
Then upgrading it like a small and basic skill planner would be the win.

Our goal with v1.0 was to provide a professional level application in both design and functionality, with an easy to use and secure method for importing your API data. I believe we've accomplished our goals.
There is a reason we named the app Capsuleer. It is the team's intention in future releases to integrate the entire EVE Api, as well as many features not included in the API.
We are already at work on v1.1.
Please refer to our website often for announcements. Thank you.

Originally by: Verite Rendition A most interesting way of safely importing the API key in to an iPhone device. Kudos to whoever thought that up.
Thank you. The security of our users' data is one of our primary concerns in developing our application.

Looks really nice.
Whats this application built with? Would it be possible to port it to Window Mobile?
It's built with C++.
We've had some internal discussion about porting to Windows Mobile or the Blackberry, but at this point in time we don't have the resources to spread our efforts too thinly.
Additionally, the development environment for the iPhone is specific to that device. It would essentially be a rewrite, more than a rewrite, to get it working on other devices.
I do appreciate the compliment however. The app must look pretty damned awesome for people to already want it ported!

Quickly before people flame you Roc... :-)
Meh, it's all code. Eventually your mind just starts melding them all into one big language anyway.

Yes i did.
Ok, turns out we found a small bug (thanks to our users). The issue is being corrected this evening, and submitted to the App Store. We apologize to users of Mac Mail experiencing this issue, as it doesn't seem to be happening for everyone.
In the meantime, please follow these instructions to get it working now. We will be updating the site tonight as well to reflect this workaround. Again, our apologies.
1. Open Text edit and type in your info evechar://localhost?userid=&key= 2. select it, control click, then on the drop down click make link 3. Copy and paste the link in to an e-mail.

Does this software allow you to train skills for your characters by using an iPhone ?
Sorry for the dumb question but I really need to know lol
No sir. The EVE Api is read only. You can only view the information EVE gives you. You cannot interact with it directly.
